if you sent it for an unlock code, they will take it and figure out what the unlock code is. Its based on your imei.
Any reputable unlock service will take the imei, figure out the code, and toss the imei.
theres nothing they can do with the imei, its basically your phones serial number, Its programmed directly to the circuit board on your phone.
i used Cell Phone Unlocking | UniquePhones it seems like a decent site...i think :confused:
