in terms of being a flagship device, i believe the 9700 took that from the Storm 2. when the 9800 gets released, i believe it will then be the new flagship.
Thats good news cause I just bought the Bold 9650. If my web signal is weak at best at home on SPrint, can I switch to my home Wifi for better internet access?
The wifi on a BB is kind of pointless to be honest. Wifi can be used with most 3rd party apps and stock BB browser. It is definitely faster than most 3G speeds, but only the email, facebook, most of RIM's OEM apps are routed through their servers which dont use wifi.
I think the 9650 rocks ! I don't have easy access to wifi and the 3G works fine for browsing
I am very pleased with this Bold. Verizon's best BB to date in my opinion

Blackberry doesn't have a rolls royce model... all their phones are basically the same... The torch has the best specs so far, but I still wouldn't consider it a 'rolls royce' model lol...
For the Rolls Royce of BB's
the Bold 9000 hands down, it is beautifully crafted, and it is large and in charge,
as for the BEST blackberry, that is completely a user opinion,
a Roll's is classy, and looks classy, doesn't need to be the fastest, because you don't want to go to fast, you're in a Rolls.
I wouldnt completely agree with you on the bold 9000. Its more like a Rolls Royce fitted with a 5gallon Fuel tank. Just not enough memory to pull through the day without having to pull out the battery. Otherwise, I would have completely agreed.
