    No reboots required on PB.
    Kernel based.
Its being done. Be patient. The BBOS is almost 11 years old. Its reached its end and RIM realises that. Shifting from an existing embedded OS to a new one is difficult and has challenges.
Putting out a completely new OS on a device which never existed and doesn't have to talk back to existing architecture is much simpler (iOS and Android). And even then Android and iOS had no server architecture to talk to. They are only now evolving the Architecture for enterprise applications. After the devices have been made and running.

A reset isn't that big of a deal. If your installing and uninstalling that many apps a day that a reset is getting in your way then do all your installing/uninstalling at 1 time then reset.

I don't mind doing required resets. I like it the way it is.

Not gonna lie, it is very nice not to have to reboot to get apps to function. That or just in general. I was always resetting my BB to clear crap up.

I am sure it will eventually happen.

Yes, once BBX (I'm still going to call it that...) is out you won't have that problem - just like your playbook.

I just get up to serve myself a glass of water during a reset, so its not a big deal to me.

Unless it's a random reboot I don't find that they get in the way. My phone reboots in less than a minute, so it's not a deal breaker for me.

I'm looking forward to this too. My Thunderbol was rebooted maybe once a month.

Seems like I'm rebooting my BlackBerry every other day, either for an app, to fix lag or because it froze.

I'm sure BBOS10 will be smoother.

You are right but that's why they will switch to a different platform.
