I was messing around with my 8820, and I revoked "Certicom mobile trust RSA root". I thought I could un-revoke it, but I guess not. Will this affect my berry in any way? And also, what are certificates?
    Thanks!

Certificates on the BB are using to establish SSL sessions with secure websites (depending on the Ceritificate Authority of that site) and to look for certificates for S/MIME email exchanges if you're setup for those.

You might run into some SSL websites not working. It doesn't sound like you're using S/MIME.

Wow. I think I will read through that at about 12am. That is worse than an Earth Science text book Is there anyway to un-revoke that certificate? (I don't think that is the technical term.) Thanks everyone for your responses.

I'm not really sure, but try resending your service
books and see if that helps.

Earth Science? Let me talk to you about
    Quantum Geometry.

Use your DM, 4.3 or newer, and you may be able to go into the certificates there and select the icon (normally a red X or green check) and change that back to something normal.

Or if your device software and DM have the certificates in their pack you may be able to reload them onto your device.

I don't think I've gone through this exercise as I haven't revoked one I didn't really want to. I may give it a try in a few drinks and let you know how (or if) I recover. Sorry.

Actually Eric, BBIronMan may be right.
    Open DM, Go to backup/restore
    then advanced

now on the left side choose file > open
and point to last known good backup

scroll down and select certificate options
click the arrow in the center pointing to the right
and finish the process, that I think will get you back.

Ok, that didn't work Would key stores have anything to do with it? It seems there are no entries under my certificate options for any backups. Thanks.

Ok, Now what if I just send all the key store stuff? Could that work? The back up is from the 18th, so its not that long ago.

That didn't work, but I do have an idea. I tried sending that certificate to myself in an email. It asked me to receive the certificate, but it was rejected because i sent myself the revoked one. If someone sent me an un-revoked certificate, could I accept it and could that work?
