To keep up with the analogy about Apple's comeback from the dead (and Microsoft as the big rival that helped out in a certain way), that sounds like Windows running better on a mac than on a regular pc...
Blackberry as the underdog permitting to benefit from Linux relatedness with Android, it may be a very good strategy to explore: best of both environments, BB security, Android ecosystem running in sandbox...

they left out the fact that QNX is POSIX compatible. i'm sure the code was always able to run but it was getting the Android code to play nicely with the way QNX managed things
Thanks for posting.
This article tied in nicely right on the heals of yesterday's heated AC discussion.
Where does the 'better Android than Android' come from?

@playbookster: Yes :)
@THBW: Android code isn't "emulated". There is no emulator. The Dalvik JVM has been ported to QNX, so the apps are running through the Dalvik run time, but they are QNX processes. What's new in this article (and new in 10.2.x) is that binary Linux blobs (extensions) can now run on QNX. This increases compatibility greatly and allows many more apps to run, so they can be run without conversion.
