Recently my gmail account lost all old emails. The account still recieved new emails and they stay I just lost the older ones. Is there any way to resync past email? I don't want to delete the account for fear of duplicating contact and calendar entries on my device. I have a lot of calendar.

Which device are you talking about? Your Bold or your Playbook?
The playbook will only sync a set number of days (7 by default, 30 maximum). And the default setting on a Blackberry is to delete old messages after 30 days.
