I've had my 8900 for almost a year. Today, I dropped my 8900 on my bed. When I came back to my phone it was restarting. I wasn't sure what caused it. Once the phone fully booted I picked it up and dropped it on my bed again. Phone rebooted. So, I've come to the conclusion my battery is too loose. When I hold my phone and shake it the phone will reboot.

Can I call tmo and request a replacement? I think I'm still under the one year warranty. Has this happened to anyone else?

Sounds like you damaged the battery contacts. You might try gently prying them outward.

Any idea on how I damaged the battery contacts?

Edit: I just got off the phone with tmo. They're going to send me a new battery. Maybe thatll help? I hope so. I really, really like my 8900.

A folded piece of paper behind the battery door will probably fix you up if you can't get an replacement.

I tried the folded paper and it didn't help. The phone was still rebooting. I'm hoping a new battery will fix it but I have a feeling its not the battery.
