I'll just chime in quickly and state that when I had my 9700, my Google e-mail, contacts, and calendar synced flawlessly through BIS. I actually noticed a significant lag using Google Sync, along with issues of duplicate contacts, etc. If you guys clean wipe when a new update comes available and set-up sync, it should be fine. Like I said, always worked for me.
