The other question I have is does someone have to approve the apps in AppWorld because if that is the case someone is seriously asleep at the switch.

That is kinda amazing, and not in a good way. Anyway, a while back I wanted to download an app made by them, but the permissions that the app was asking for was a bit too excessive imo for what the app does. Deleted it straight away and never downloaded another app from them.

Wanna see another joke? Search (v1) in BB world. The vast majority of those 16000 apps are junk from the app generator. You know, the one where you paste in a website address, click a couple buttons, and have a BB World app?

The only time I allow an app access and permissions to a lot of things is if the app is from a well known reputable company and is a well known app.

So app gap between WP8 and BB10 (which some here have claimed isn't very large) is really the size of the grand canyon?

This is pathetic that Blackberry allowed this to happen. Of course, they've been doing whatever they can for damage control for a while now.

Exactly, all the stores have more bad fake apps than real useful apps. So it's stupid to compare numbers.

But all the other stores also have Netflix too, and that's the kind of app gap I care about.
