Hello,
I am using AT&T Blackberry 9800 in India ( Varanasi) with Idea sim. I want to re-install the operating system (os) on my phone because its hanging too much.
While downloading os manually, the site is asking about to choose your carrier .... whether I choose AT&T ( from North America Column) or any else.

Will choosing AT&T again make my phone locked ??

Please help me ..

I'm not certain but I think once you're phone is unlocked it remains that way. You can use any OS just delete the 2 vendor.xml files.

According to my instructor a while back, the device can be relocked manually using a code much like how it gets unlocked, which was also demonstrated to us using his device. The OS reload does NOT perform this task in itself, your device will remain safely unlocked.
