I have a unique situation. I have never updated my BB and when it started to give me issues I decided to switch to a Tour 9630 from an older Curve. So I downloaded the 6.0 Desktop Manager for Mac and somehow synced the contacts from my phone to the Apple contacts, but by doing this it totally erased my contacts from my BB and replaced the BB contacts with my Mac contacts which were only a few. I tried to reverse it, but I couldn't find where to do this. I can't locate the contacts in my BB or on Mac, although I'm not sure if I'm looking in the right area. I tried calling Verizon and they were unable to figure this out. If I need to install on a Windows based PC I can do that if it means recovering my contacts.

Search for any *.bbb files on your system to see if any older backup files still exist. The file extension in Windows is *.ipd

Always create a backup before doing anything with the data on your phone.
