This is a interview with Jim B. from 2008 and it clearly shows the reason why RIM is in its "make or break" situation now.

clip...3:00 - 3:30...this is the mentality that has made RIM fail the last couple years and why they were very late to the game.

You had to go digging all the way back to 2008? It's 2012 mate.
Let's rewind back to 1986 and see the asinine moves Steve Jobs made and let's flush the Apple of today down the toilet. Stop grasping at straws to make an anti-RIM point.

I think we all know at this point RIM made a lot of mistakes and had the wrong attitude. We are hoping things are different now and blackberry 10 will tell the truth.

*yawn* Why do we need this kind of thread? Really. Everybody and his dog knows why RIM is in the current situation. Everybody knows why Nokia is in the current bad state. You don't need to investigate at all to figure that stuff out.

No my precious little thread Well I guess people went to far into calling each other out when it just was meant to understand why RIM or Blackberry is perceived as a failing company. I think there is so much different factors of Blackberry customers, some may feel that BB is a great phone, others don't like it, but at the end of the day we should all understand the future is not written yet, people who claim RIM to be out of business next year, we don't know we can't tell the future. But companies do pick themselves back up after a while. So I guess lets leave this in the future hands.

I think if we all knew that RIM wasn't NOW making a concerted effort to right their past wrongs.. we would have all moved on a long time ago...

Don't we get enough doom and gloom from the media.. we gotta keep seeing threads like this on crackberry? iMore and Android Central is that way ->
