I am having a hard time deciding what OS7 device I want as they all have much to offer.

9900/9930 Gives you the nice Bold form factor and a touch screen to boot.

9850/9860 Gives you a big beautiful screen that can be used in landscape mode for surfing the web.

9810 Gives you both a nice big screen and a good qwerty as well.

I surf the web and Blog a lot. What will you do?

Go to a store when the phones come out and 'play' with each of the models to see which form factor you like the best. The software/internal hardware is going to be pretty much the same between each so it is really a personal decision as to which model you choose.

I like the bold. I mean if you do a lot of web surfing, a bigger screen is probably for you. But to me, the Bold's screen is big enough.

If only VZW was able to get the Torch 2, I'd get that. I might get the Bold 9930 if I can dump my iPhone for it.

I voted 9900 because I think I want it the most, I have a 9800 and I really like it, but it is really beaten up looking because cases suck on the slider, and there are times I would need to keep this in a case!

BUT I might find myself missing the bigger screen

    I'm going with the 9900.

Already have the torch, and love it, but the constant sliding to get to the keyboard gets annoying along with the loose slider(every one I've had(4), has had it to some degree).

I'm in the same boat as well, the 9900 is the front runner, but the extra screen on the 8910 is appealling as well, but the keyboard won't be as good as the 9000-like large keyboard on the 9900. And cases do suck for the 9800, my daughter has one, and had to remove the case as it was locking up the phone by randomly pressing buttons, and they make access to the top row of keys more difficult too.

My wife asked me about the new phones last night too and asked which one was best, and I told her the same that many here know already, you will have to go into a store and try them out. Try typing on a touch screen, which for me I already know is out, therefore no 9850/60 for me.

I did show her all the videos on the phones, if pictures are worth a 1000 words, videos are worth 10, 000 :P

im in the same position.with my upgrade in my hand but need to figure out what i plan on doing.unlike this poll,i have the iphone 5 included in my choices.im really going to be excited to see how the iphone 5 and bb 9860 stack up.the 9900/9860 are my two clear favorites with the 9810 finishing third class in my bb choice list.i agree with phonegeek that the 9860 is going to raise some eyes.its what at&t didn't have when the storms came out.im craving for not just one device but two. that is why this time i want a bb/iphone combo or a double swing bb combo.and this time im not dissing the iphone at all because i think its going to be a huge upgrade from its predecessor.at&t needs to give me the release dates for this crop of devices.

I went looking at the screen specs last night. The 9900 and 9810 are the same resolution but the screen on the 9810 is turned 90 degrees (Portrait) and the size increases from 2.8" like the 9900 has to 3.2". To me this makes the 9810 the least attractive since the screen is not the full size 3.7" unit used on the 9850/9860. That added to the inferior qwerty keyboard and clumsy slider mechanism just don't quite cut it.

    (9900/9930) 2.8" / 640x480 / Landscape
    (9860/9850) 3.7" / 480x800 / Portrait & Landscape
    (9810) 3.2" / 480x640 / Portrait & Landscape

    For comparison

    (9000) 2.6" / 480x320 / Landscape
    (9800) 3.2" / 360x480 / Portrait & Landscape
    (9650) 2.4" / 480x360 / Landscape
    (8900) 2.4" / 480x360 / Landscape
    (9700/9780) 2.4" / 480x360 / Landscape
    (9550/9530) 3.3" / 360x480 / Portrait & Landscape
    (Curve's) +/- 2.5" / 320x240 / Landscape

Couldn't care about specs or screen resolution. As long as stuff is readable and clear, things work and nothing struggles, I won't complain

I think all these phones are a great pick. For me the obvious choice is the 9860. It's just a more comfortable fit for me. I hope there is a Swype type of app for it. It is a great way to type.
