I have a tour and was wondering if there was a quicker way to close an app, like bb browser, besides hitting the bb menu key, hitting 'c' to find close, and enter. I know hitting the 'end call' button minimizes the program to the bg. Is there a quicker way to shut down the app completely? Thanks.

No. The menu, CLOSE (some programs use EXIT) is the only sure way to shut all apps - the back button will fully close only some programs. And, of course, some programs always run and canNOT be closed.

I think hitting menu, C, click trackball is pretty quick & convenient.

Some apps allow you to choose in settings what pressing the end key will do. Most will just run in the background unless closing the old fashioned way. Very few actually close upon exit. Browser, phone, messaging, bbm and home will always run, no matter how you close the app.
