Hello everyone, I live down in Dubai where I'm expecting we won't see the new Bold for another 3 or so months, and now I'm in desperate need for a new mobile so I'm getting a BB 9780 from overseas. My question is, will my carrier (Etisalat) install internet on the phone if its unlocked? Or will they tell me it's an unreleased mobile so they can't install internet on it?
If you currently have a BB plan on your SIM card you should be able to swap your current SIM card into the 9780 and then log into the BIS website from your carrier and change the PIN to that of the new device, followed by sending the service books if it doesn't happen on its' own.
