If they get dropped and say there's a tiny crack will the screens work still?

i got 2 minor cracks/deep scratches on my old z10 enough so that you can put your fingernail in them but havent seen it effect my device. I have seen videos however that when the screen cracks the gestures stop working entirely.

The Z10 is the most fragile in that respect. The touch screen layer is fused to the glass directly not on or in the display layer. The other blackberrys don't use this screen tech, touch on-lense, but a different tech. It can still happen given the right drop, but much less likely.
