Thats why Blackberry isn't growing up and keeps behind even of windows crap phones. Nobody wants to buy BB's here in US anymore, you cant find it anywhere ! Just online! So, is blackberry relying on old customers only!?

    Stop the madness!

We have to stick and follow the media and market out there with Z10 and Z30 only. Period. Nobody wants a freaking keyboard anymore.

Couldn't have said it better. This was my first thought after I read about this Q20. They have no real direction with hardware and it's starting to show. You can't please everyone bbry!

Well Doug that's very bold of you to decide what the rest of the Blacberry users want. Your wrong for me anyway. I want a BB10 like a 9810 complete with physical keys and the BELT and big screen. Not all of us can type on a tiny glass screen (my hands shake) and I can't read the tiny screen on the Q10. So should I hang up my smart phone or be able to by one that fits my needs? I'm glad you found yours now let Blackberry build mine.

Ok well the entire BB10 lineup totally flopped so as much as we like the phones perhaps we're not the experts in what leads to large scale commercial success.

Not aiming to be a specialist, but here are my 2 cents.

I am frankly kind of surprised BBRY decided to return the BELT. For quite some time now they've been doing everything to make us forget it and start loving the marvelous gesture-based UI. In that perspective, going back to roots seems a bit weird to me. I mean, okay, I already got over physical buttons (even though I own both Q10 and Z30) and I'm pretty happy with the new way of navigating through the OS 10. And now I feel pretty much ambiguous. Teared apart by two polar desires - move forward with all those modern gestures or step back to an old good physical BELT.

The inconstistency of BBRY's decisions can be really confusing...

Second. I was sincerely thinking that with BB10 BBRY was going to concentrate their forces on JUST TWO DEVICES - FULL-QWERTY and FULL-TOUCH - and push them forward as hard as they only can, releasing updated devices every year, bumping their specs to be on par with current leaders.

But what I see now - is utter fragmenting of hardware line: Q5, Q10, Z10, Z30, Z3 and then Q20 with a new physical keys. It looks like BBRY is trying to put a patch on every little hole they can think of. But like someone said here already, you CANNOT PLEASE EVERYBODY! And trying to do so BBRY looks desperate in my opinion. And it breaks my heart.

Sorry for a lot of words. All is my humble opinion.

I like BlackBerry because they don't just throw random hardware like tablets and wearables out there just because it's somehow "hot" to do it right now. BlackBerry has bigger problems and can't afford such a product to flop in contrast to large corporations with multiple profit centers like Samsung or Sony. Whatever BlackBerry throws out there has to stick - that's their current reality. So it isn't the best time for them to try out the latest fancy stuff that didn't even got solved by the big guys yet.

What BlackBerry needs to do, hardware-wise, is evolving their operating system even further and making damn sure the next high end smartphone they release is a strong product in every respect. I don't want them to just spout out the next Z phone with last years specs. This isn't the way to turnaround a company.

Yeah, it's a company in transition and therefore you can't even see last years BB10 phones and this year's in line of one integrated strategy. They laid out their latest strategy and plan on delivering four product lines:

    - Entry level (Q5, Z3)
    - Classic (Q10 currently, Q20 to come)
    - High End (Z30 currently, ZXX to come)
    - Prestige (Porsche Design)

    I think it makes sense.

And my 2cts concerning the BELT:
The QWERTY line isn't there to go after iPhone and Galaxy users. These phones are for BlackBerry diehards and QWERTY fans and it panned out that some or many BlackBerry diehards refuse to switch to the Q because they miss the BELT and trackpad. So as long as the screen goes bigger too, why not bring that belt back? Q users aren't users that go for the latest fancy get-rid-of-as-many-buttons-as-possible stuff anyway, otherwise they'd choose full touch phones. I always loved the belt.

I would love to see a new tablet replace the PlayBook. Or maybe like a PlayBook mini but running BlackBerry 10 and have the ability to make calls. Of course you wouldn't hold to your ear, it would come with a BlackBerry Bluetooth ear piece.

Q for you, Q, as this seems like as good a place as any to ask --

You're a happy Q10 user. How do you feel about the return of The Belt? Being a techie toy geek and keyboard aficionado and knowing the ins and outs of BB10, what do you think about the idea of essentially slapping The Belt on a Q10? For how you use your Q10, would the addition of The Belt improve your experience?

    My two cents..
I for one hope that BlackBerry will never start to cater only for the lowest denominator, like people who sees their phone as a toy or can't own a phone because it doesn't have a freaking game!
If that's the criterion, please go buy something else, don't ask BlackBerry to give up their core qualities.
A BlackBerry is not a droid or an iPhone, and thank you Lord for that!
As for keyboard, every single one of my colleagues tell me they often wish they had a physical keyboard when they see me typing. I myself can't go back to screen typing again after having the Q10 for 6 months.
Because I use my phone as a tool and not a toy (I don't have one game on it and not one android app) a physical keyboard is a godsend. My single most used facility is the homescreen type-n-search. When is my next meeting? When is the CEO coming? What time is it in our overseas office? What did that note about Agile say about sprint planning? And so on and so on.
It's just there as I start typing.
Heck, I might even consider the Q20 because of the belt.
In a way, the less time I spend on my phone the better
I tend to think, if BlackBerry starts making droid clones and try to capture customers like above mentioned friend they surely will drown.
