Q10 notification sounds not working after updating to .2141

I'm reposting this again because the other section I posted it in had no traffic or answers after 2 hours. Upon installing leaked .2141 phone quickly received 5 or 6 emails and the notification played rapid fire before the hub started. But text messages and email notifications won't play afterwards. The loud speaker DOES work, tested with music and speakerphone, the only notification sounds I get are from BBM. I've reset the phone using hold vol button method 3 times now and nothing has changed and I've also made sure sound is on and full blast. This is frustrating me more than it should as I've missed multiple emails and texts. Please reply if you have ANY idea what I should do.
