Push Gmail App for 8900 with no BB Service

I have just bought a Blackberry Curve as GiffGaff was about to release their Blackberry Service. Unfortunately they have now delayed this till January, given the track record they may even delay it further.

Their website suggested you could download the Gmail app in the meantime, however this has been discontinued by Google. I desperately need push email on the phone rather than logging in through the browser. Does anyone have a suitable version of the Gmail app backed up for a Curve 8900 (v5.0.0.1036)? Alternatively are there any other good apps that will work with it?

Sorry, but you can't get free BIS or push e-mail without a valid blackberry data plan. Wait for your carrier to release and support it, then tack it on, then you'll have what you're looking for. :)

You could try logicmail. It isn't push but you might be able to set it to poll the server on a short interval.
