Pulling info from SD Card?

OK, I know I'm not the brightest bulb, but I would have guessed that I could pull data from a SD card while it was still in my phone. Is this not correct?

I got a 16GB card for Christmas, and wish to put it in my Tour, however, I would like to take everything off the existing card. I realize I can do that by removing the card and putting it in an adapter, and doing it like that, but is there no way to pull while it's still in my phone?

Connect your phone to the computer, turn on "Mass Storage mode" and copy the data onto your computer?

MassStorageMode can be found under OPtions (wrench in most cases), Memory.

An adapter may be faster, copying off the older card and probably more so adding to a 16 gig card.
