Just saw the movie the November man. The agent uses z30/z10 that still runs 10.2 with the pull down answer option, this should be back on BlackBerry 10 at least as an option

I just saw this on a z10 the other day while working at the hospital, they all use z10's. When I saw the call screen, I said "oh I miss that call option." yea It would be nice to have that back

That's a good idea... a pull down or Swipe to answer options on answering a call at least the user gets to pick his / her own preference.

I agree. I've never been a fan of the Android-esque swipe answer that replaced the pull and flip.

I agree that choice is a good thing. And I liked that my BlackBerry was unique in that regard. That being said, I do find the current left or right swipe easier to reach.

The only phone that had the swipe down/up,it's like a trademark. People always asked about it when I swipe up when I couldn't answer the phone. What is the logic to change it to something everyone already have?

Absolutely. If it really was creating a think point, they should probably have added that as well to start screen instructions. The current call screen is the ugliest part of BB10 and also the most hated (for me).

I prefer the left / right swipes. I have short thumbs and have trouble reaching the center of the screen to swipe down . Had many missed calls because of it.

You're absolutely wrong. The Android MIUI ROM did it YEARS before BB10 was even released. Please get your facts straight.

Swipe down/up to answer ignore worked for everyone. If BlackBerry is going with a sideways set of swipes, at least let us lefties have the choice of direction to swipe to answer.

It didn't work for everyone. The forums were full of people complaining that it never worked first try and they had to peck at the screen multiple times to get it to work, and often times would miss the call entirely because it didn't work before the call was rerouted to voice mail.

Look, I get some of you would love to see the return of up/down call screen, but don't make stuff up just to give your preferred call screen some sort of imaginary importance.

You didn't read my whole reply. I'm saying that up down is the same direction whether you use your left thumb or right. I like the sideways swipe, but would like to see the option of choosing which direction answers the phone. As a lefty, I'd prefer to swipe right to answer.

The problem was the prompts.. it would say "swipe here to answer/decline" and it would show the words above and below the bar..

So.. people weren't grabbing the bar to answer the phone, they were just swiping at the screen.

It should have said "**drag** bar downwards to accept, upwards to decline"

It's the same issue people have with bb10, struggling to turn the screen on.. it's because they are swiping, literally, when they should be dragging or sliding.

No, I had plenty of instances where the bar wouldn't go all the way down an thus not answer the call. It simply wasn't working 100% of the time for everyone; and ever since the change not a single person has posted claiming they can't answer the phone 100% of the time.
