Gotcha. Honestly, that phone doesn't look like anything special to me what so ever. Reminds me of my super basic 8530 that I can't wait to get rid of. Lately, any RIM news has just left me kinda like, "Mehh..." I think the jazzy bells and whistles of the Evo 4g, Incredible, iPhone 4, and Droid X have over stimulated me - so when I see boring, everyday kinda stuff (anything related to RIM), I feel empty inside.

the guy in the video called the 8900 an 8500 over and over. not to mention, that was the worst hands on review ive ever seen. i wonder how much of a clue he really has.

You could just set the radio to 2G only if you're concerned about battery life�

true. this is one thing i used to do on my Bold 9000 all the time. i wish i could go back to my 8900. but im so used to 3G and the trackpad, i dont think i would go back. if they made the 8900 form factor with trackpad and 3G, ill trade in my 9700 for one.
