Plug your berry in, open desktop manager, choose sync. You may have to configure it to sync with outlook if you haven't set it up before.

Thanks for your quick response... but it didn't work.

I plugged in the BB and then opened up the desktop manager, it started the sync but then a message shows: "Unknown error reported"

I also did the Enterprise Activation in the BB and an email was sent to my outlook email account.

    This is the email:

    Subject: RIM_bca28a80-e9c0-11d1-87fe-00600811c6a2
This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server"

So, it seems to be communication between BB and outlook.

    Any other suggestion?

First things first, if you are NOT a BES user, you shouldn't be trying to activate BES. You will need to follow the link below to get reset.

I keep getting odd emails from RIM - BlackBerryFAQ

    Sorry... but it didn't work...
I reinstalled it with the Balckberry Internet Service setting... and when I try to sync the same message appears.

In the Desktop manager, when I click on the sync configuration button, again, the same message appears: "Unknown error reported"

    What can I do now???
    Can somebody help me???

Did you make sure to go on your device and go to: Options > Advanced > Service Book, and delete all service books for [Desktop]?

When you installed Desktop Manager did you install it from an administrator account and not a limited account? If you didn't install DM from an admin account, it won't install correctly.

You could go to blackberry.com and download Desktop Manager 4.3 and give it a shot.

    What is:
Options > Advanced > Service Book, and delete all service books for [Desktop]?

It appears a bunch of text like:
    - Media Mall
    - MMS Client
    - my emials (CICAL and CMIME)
    - Desktop (CICAL)
    - Desktop (CMIME)

I deleted the 2 desktop entries.

    Now what???
