    My daughter is visiting me from Venezuela. She has a BB Curve 9300 that is already unlocked. When I try to put a Sim card from T-Mobile, it shows SOS but no network. I checked the frequency and both T-Mobile and Movistar (Venezuela) are 1900. How can I have her phone work here with T-Mobile?

    Have you correctly inserted the SIM into the SIM-Slot ? It happened to me too.

    If it was not unlocked, it would say Invalid SIM or enter Unlock code. As for the issue at hand, does the SIM work in your (the ops) cell phone? Do any other SIM cards work in the unlocked device.

    It is unlocked. I don't have any other Sim cards or phones to try. I am a Verizon customer and my phones do not use Sim Cards

    BTW, I tried with three different Sim Cards in 3 different T-Mobile stores and nothing, no signal, just SOS
