Has there been any issues with receiving texts from Blackberries to non blackberries? The problem we are seeing from a particular blackberry is that whe a text is recevied on certain non - BBs, all that is received is a special character (i.e. a square, etc.)

Went to the options/SMS text and it is said to "7 Bit."

I haven't noticed that, but I have noticed that emoticons on the BlackBerry aren't compatible with a lot of other devices.
