I just wiped clean my BB. I put in the backup file I had created through the DM and it put things like the email, text, BBMs on, but files like Jivetalk, ALL of my games, Google Apps -- it's all gone! But I did a backup! Why did they not save? Can I get them back without the hours of DLing all my apps again?
A back up does not actually back up third party software. A back up only creates a copy of your personal information on the device. No application is backed up. There is however a method to do so if need be.
Yeah and its pretty easy too. And good for when you accidently delete that poker game you love so much.

There is a way to do it. In the future, search for "propper procedure" and follow it and the method it links to to the letter.
