I haven't jumped ship yet, but I put blackberry services, blackberry keyboard, hub, and blackberry launcher on my htc one m8, it all runs great, hence I don't see the need of buying a priv, if all the things that make it a BlackBerry are essentially available on my htc with a little tweaking. But I honestly can't seem to make android my daily driver for devices. Love the flow of bb10 too much

And plus, for an android device, BlackBerry or not, that's one steep price for a device that compares to the 400 dollar moto x play

Before the 9810 i was very much against touchscreens.
The 9810 helped me get used to touchscreen, but it was also the only phone from Blackberry i had that was on 7.1, which was a lovely os for a communication focused device.
Moved onto the Z10 after that, which was great in many respects, but was never able to match up to my 9810 and 7.1.
My story is almost identical to yours. 9810 was my first touchscreen. I never used the virtual keyboard on it but it did get me ready for the Z10. But I always missed the Torch. It's always been my favorite phone. When I went from the 8530 before it to that nice 16x9 screen I fell in love. It wasn't perfect. I always wished it has a Bold 9900 keyboard on it. But man that thing was built like a tank.

I had wished later I had gotten the white one. I saw a white one for sale the other day for close to 100 dollars. I think it would have held up better than the silver paint. But hard to justify getting a phone with no LTE no front camera etc. But wow they were built like a tank. Mine still works despite the scratches on the silver. It was a hell of a phone.
