Hi, travelling to India next month, specifically tamil nadu and andhra pradesh. What prepaid network do you recommend for 5 days worth of data. Mainly IM and Facebook, so probably don't need more than 500mb-1gb.

The thing that's getting me confused and unable to find out much from carrier sites is the issue of roaming within india.

My main concern is whether I have to pay roaming charges travelling between tamil nadu and andhra? Thanks for any advice on what would be the best option.

I also have a blackberry, so if they have an unlimited blackberry plan that would be awesome

I assume the blackberry plans should be cheaper, but if thats not the case i'll bring my android device instead.

If you have a legacy device, then you are good to go. Rs.100 for a week, on any major carrier like Vodafone and Airtel.
You'll get full email, browsing, IM, fb facilities, without any roaming charges. So that's basically cheaper than using internet on any other device(android). Not sure about BB10 though(never used one )

Which carrier would you suggest for national coverage going between villages and cities?
What plan options are there for the new BlackBerry and how does that change with few days versus few months stay?
How do I interpret what is given on each carrier's website?
