    Hi all,ok here is my dumb question..do bluetooths notify one of an incoming
    text msg? If so which ones? I have never used a bluetooth,was thinking
    about getting for my kids,and they text alot.
    Any help much appreciated for the bluetooth impaired

    The only dumb question is the one that isn't asked....well, that and your question about Bluetooth! LOL, just kidding!

    I'm not certain, but from my experience....Bluetooth (headsets anyway) don't notify you of incoming texts. They're simply for phone conversations....as far as I know.

    Bluetooth is for doing wireless hook-ups. My roommate transfers files for me via his bluetooth in his Mac. I use it for my wireless headset. As far as incoming text notification, that's what the phone's job is.

    Before my Curve, I used a T-Mobile Dash. My BT headset would notify AND READ my incoming text messages as well as read me the names or numbers of incoming phone calls. I was very disappointed when my curve did not do that.
