Okay, I have been trying get Instagram video to work for a long time now. Every time you select the video it crashes when it asks you to choose a cover. So I have been doing some trying and error and I have partially succeeded at uploading one video. So why is it only just one vid? Its because this vid was taken by my BB10 when it was on 10.0.xxx or 10.1 (dont remember, it was a couple of month after the Z10 came out). All videos that are taken now in 10.2 make the Instagram app crash.

So I accessed the video using the usb from my PC and checked the properties of the old vids and the new ones. Turns out that the properties are different even though the settings in the camera app never changed. Here they are:

Is it possible that in 10.2 the camera uses a different codec or settings that are making Instagram crash?


Note: I am using the Unlocked Android Runtime and Instagram 4.2.4

It is possible, I've thought about it like this all along, it's just something to do with the encoding.

Won't work, the encoder is in the core os
