My daughter is in the Peace Corps in Tanzania Africa, she has cell phone service and can use a BB - I was over there just 2 weeks ago, and I went into to the major carrier, they have BB's and plans.
I have a new (reman) BB Pearl 8130 I was on a Sprint network - is this phone useless?

Sprint phones are on a CDMA network, and do not use Sim Cards with exception of the 8830 and 8350i NexTel, which both have SIM capability.

Or post it in our Marketplace Forum. Offset the cost of a World Edition.

Only a totally thrashed BB is useless. There is a thriving market for used ones, especially in good condition.
