The blackberry has GPS. And the iPod has the application. Would it be possible, for the iPod touch to use the blackberry sort of like an external GPS device, and have them near each other, and drive and get turn by turn?
They are paired up, but I can't really do anything with them, I was wondering if it would be worthwhile to buy tom tom for it?

There currently is no way to use your blackberry as a gps receiver. It works for internal applications only. I wish there was, to use it as a receiver for a laptop in the car. But there isn't.
For the ipod, you will need the tomtom iphone dock (roughly 100$) which has the receiver in it, and is designed to be seamless with the itouch/iphone to use as a standalone receiver.
So for roughly 150$ you can have a standalone gps unit in your car, that also does a lot of other things when it's not being used to get you where you need to go.
