    I would like to give my email to a news channel who could send me news or weather updates[with some advertisements if they like].It would be a great alternative to android's wigets.I joined tweeter to follow some news channels but tweeter is just another facebook for uncles and aunts.Hope to see a meaningful reply.Take care

    Yes, if not offered as a daily or weekly digest, or if it's not the format you're looking for, consider a web service like IFTTT.com (IF THIS THEN THAT) which will allow you to construct a rule and then have information delivered to you according to the rule.
