To broaden BBM's usage, for non bbm users. And the only way for BBM to win-over Whatsapp users or to be able to communicate with them, IMHO is to find a method with which to recive Whatsapp user messages directly into BBM and vice versa.

    Your in put is important.

What if it is technically feasible?
Why not? Isn't it possible that a third party program can do them both, I mean act like a client for BBM and Whatsapp?

I don't want to use WA and submit all my contacts to FB-owned company.

Whoever figures this out can earn a lots of $$$$!

But I don't think client for BBM is possible. BlackBerry won't allow it, at least they don't do - yet.

Exactly, I think Blackberry can do it first though or Whatsapp might beats them to it.
Or a third party, and then brag about it multi-platform, multi-client messanger.

Your suggestion seems harmless and in favor of BBM becoming more popular, which is always welcome. Though you're not taking some keys elements of server-client communications into account. Proprietary comm. protocols BBM service incorporates can NOT be replicated by anyone else unless BlackBerry decides to sell those patents one day.
And I, just like tens of thousands of Blackberry users never used and will never use WA.
