Hi there,

I have NO idea what's wrong but I am unable to message ANYONE at all on BlackBerry 10 phones. If its OS7 its fine I can talk to them, but my friends who have either the Z10 or Q10 I can't. If I message them, I get the Red X but they can still message me. How can this even be, that they can message me but I can't message them? PIN Messaging still works.
I am using the 9900 on OS on 7.1.0.714.

Give it a reboot, if that doesn't work call your carrier..

I've rebooted. Battery pulled. I even restored it from desktop manager, and that still hasn't worked.
How can telling my carrier about it help? I can still talk to other people just not those on BB10.

Hard to help here. But, have you set up your bbid appropriately?

Yep, I've set it up correctly I would think, 'cos I've had the same one for years. I've had the 9900 since it came out and its literally only suddenly its stopped working. Works for OS7 not for BB10.

I'm sorry what? I can't message people on BB10 at all. It's getting SOOO annoying. And no one is here to help I have such a messed up problem, I'm like beyond help

That is really strange. Open a ticket! I would call BlackBerry. This is of course not normal ;-)

Can you even call BlackBerry about it? I'm trying to tell my carrier about it and I don't think they know whats wrong.

What happens when you try to message someone? Describe what happens when you try to message me at [email protected]

If I message someone, my message comes up with a RED X meaning I need to resend it and if I resend it the same thing happens again meaning its not working. However, someone can message me like normal, and it goes through just fine. That's whats up.

I went to my carrier store and they mentioned that apparently other people are having the same problem. But they said it'd be fixed by reinstalling BBM and well, it worked!!! So happy! Thanks for those that tried to help.
