Plantronics Discovery 925 + 8900 = no a2dp?

hey guys,
i recently bought a plantronics discovery 925 in hopes of being able to use it to listen to the media player with it. i know the 8900 supports a2dp, and so does the discovery, but no luck getting music to the bluetooth. there isn't even an option to do so. looking at the service list for the discovery, all it has is Hands-Free unit and Headset. i KNOW for certain the discovery supports a2dp, but my 8900 fails to recognize it? anyone else have this issue and are there any solutions to it?
