I am currently testing windows 10 and I was lurking around the settings and notice that they implement 3 type of password. One of them is picture password!
Instead of just numbers like BlackBerry, they are using gesture.
What do you guys think about this move from Microsoft ?

I'm thinking that people hate BlackBerry but everyone use their features!

You do realize that they are nothing alike and that Microsoft had this feature before Blackberry right?

I should have done my research also.
I was so surprised that I posted this tread without any clue.
How do I close this tread now.

There was another similar thread about windows 10 ripping off the active frames minimizing idea.

Which of course bb10 borrowed from Web OS.

Unfortunately this is pretty typical. Its like action notifications on the lock screen. iOS had them forever, then Blackberry 10 got them and people came in here claiming that iOS ripped it off of Blackberry. Same with Toast notifications and Android. Apparently everything is a copy of of BB10 even though other OS's have had it years before.

Windows and BlackBerry picture password are nothing alike. Blackberry is more secured because if people around you are lurking they will still have a hard time guessing your password. Windows requires require a three steps process to unlocked but people can still lurk at your unlocking gestures.

Lol, OMG what? Are you seriously saying someone lurking over your shoulder on a phone is different than doing the same thing over a shoulder to a desktop user?

I know I'm Supa_Late to this conversation, but it's not about someone looking over your shoulder that's different- it's that the way that BB's version works is fundamentally different than M$'s! Theirs is just a fancy-looking pattern lock that a shoulder-surfer can pretty easily figure out; BB's changes every time. I have challenged SO MANY people to guess my password, with ZERO successful attempts =)

    Enjoy!
