Just saw @CrackberryKevin's Tweet about his BB getting him out of a broken elevator. So that got me thinking, has your BB ever gotten you of of a minor/major pickle? Perhaps even an awkward situation?
If so, please share :D

Well, I guess this is sort of related, whenever I am nervous or afraid like when I'm walking in the complete dark I pretend to talk on my cell phone. lol
Truckloads of pickles, in my case. As a commercial driver, my BlackBerry has saved me from countless headaches on the road. I'm quite often in places I'm unfamiliar with, and a few minutes with SprintNav and Google Maps, most problems can be solved.
I took pictures of and videorecorded a truck burning up at a truckstop in Indiana. Sent videos of drunk drivers to authorities. I've covered my buns by send pics of damaged product because a shipper loaded my trailer improperly. Summoned police and medical help for injured people. Saved my company a$700 tow bill by sending pics that a repair could be done in a few minutes. Recorded damage to our equipment at a drop lot.
When my kids make an accomplishment, I can get a video that I can share. When the grandaughter tells Mommy to 'talk to the hand' I can laugh just as hard as anyone else that saw it. When my grandson bit the cat, I saw the shock as the cat slapped him for it.
I was able to change my voter registration, pay our taxes, change our address, pay most of our bills in an emergency. I shared in my mother's passing and memorial from 1600 miles away.
And I've met and connected with people I now call friends.

It wasn't a difficult situation per se, but my wife and I used BBM today to stealthily coordinate buying a Christmas present for our 11-YO daughter who was walking along in the store right beside us. My wife noticed it, sent me a BBM about the item and its location, then I stayed behind a bit to grab the item and pay for it w/o our daughter ever noticing.
Not a life or death situation, for sure, but was def easier done thru BBM than if we hadn't had it.

One more that just came to mind after posting my last story:
Just last night I was scheduled to pick up a friend at the train station, but when I got there I realized the building I always thought was the bus and train station combo was ONLY a bus station and that I didn't actually know where the train depot was. So using 3G browser and BB maps I found the depot address and drove there in time for the pick up. Would have been way harder to coordinate without smartphone capabilities and a 3G connection.

The navigation, location and maps applications have always been helpful, especially while traveling.
Need a hotel for the night in a strange city? Forgot the address of where you're going? Just hop on the web. :)
This summer I spent some time traveling around Europe - to cities I've never been and didn't know how to navigate. The BBerry, with the live GPS "dot" and Google maps was priceless when walking around and knowing exactly which direction to go to get where you wanted to go.
I remember trying to find a location to go to and launched google maps, found it, set it as a target on bb maps and walked from the bus stop.
Very handy indeed.
