Hi, I'm selling my 8900 (unlocked) as have just got a 9700 and was wondering how I go about totally wiping the phone. Is there a way of doing a factory reset which gets rid of all messages, photos etc in other words something that gets rid of everything.

If there is how do I do it

I know I have to call my service provider (O2 UK) to release the pin but not sure about the contents of the phone.

    Cheers

Go into the settings and security of the phone. Hit the blackberry key and you'll get a menu where you can select "wipe device". This will reset it back to factory.

Yep, that'll do it and also, make sure you select the option to wipe both the phone and the media card (I'm not familiar with the 9700 but I assume it works the same on this as the Storm).
