Hi

I have recently received a blackberry 8110 from a friend, however when i am using my Globe sim in the phone it displays "phone not allowed MM6" and i cannot ring or text but can access the wireless internet.

Any help is most appreciated

I take it Globe is a service provider?
Also what carrier is your phone branded? IE: at&t, cingular, T-Mobile?

My guess is the phone is still locked to the original carrier

Mine, is T-mobile, but my service provider is Movistar, I'm from Venezuela, i do not know if the phone use to work before, when I got the phone i place the Movistar sim card in it, and then the message showed up, "Phone Not Allowed MM6", I think the reason is that the phone is blacklisted by Movistar (service provider) I haven't tried with another company's sim card, I will try and let you know, but in the meantime do you know what this error could be??
