I was just wondering how the phone insurance works. If your phone was to get wrecked some how, after you pay your deductible do you have any say about the replacement phone? What if there has been an upgraded model since yours, can you get the newer model? Or, can you get a different model all together? Anyone out there with any experience with this?

you have to get the same phone only way to get a different phone is if the phone you have insured gets discontinued

Your phone will be replaced with the same model that's insured. I'm not sure if this is carrier or insurance specific, but likely the replacement will be a refurbished unit.

If the insured model is not available, they will give you a comparable phone. I don't believe you have any say in what phone you will receive at all.
