Phantom Calls/Pages?

I have a Blackberry 8700c and last night the phone rang at 2am (my elderly parents number was on the caller ID) and when I got to it they had "hung up." I called them back and they said they had not called (they are coherent enough to know whether they had or not)...has anyone every heard of getting a phantom call like this?

Same issue with pages...last week I kept getting pages from their home number...but no one was at home and they were not at a phone...

Any ideas?
