    To Canadians out there,shame shame ,shame! Rogers announcement should be met with protests! To all of you out there ,voice your displeasure on this thread! Canadian enterprise not backing Canadian Enterprise is shameful! Through the days of plenty they made millions from BlackBerry now with the rough road they are running away! They claim that they are still carrying the other three devices, yet they have been contacting present clients asking them to change from BlackBerry! This announcement makes consumers believe that something is fundamentally wrong with the devices! Very irresponsible, they really are the worst!

    Actually- someone should start an official online petition. I sign them all the time for various causes. They actually do work. The key is to get someone good to write it and put all of the important things like consumer chouce, canadian jobs, etc, etc.

    I don't get why they don't just offer pre-order and either mail the device to you or send it to the store of your choice. It doesn't make business sense not to offer it, it's money that they aren't making even if it's only 100 or 10 people buying it

    You could always register for one there...
    Rogers won't do pre-orders because they would still be required to committ to purchasing a set number of units which would sit in inventory (costing money) and then inevitably get marked down (costing more money) and likely show even worse sales than the Z10 and Q10 already have...

    but I digress... as for the OP, I choose loose clients. My wife may not be happy about that but I would far rather my telco provide services to promiscuous people that I might then encounter at my local Rogers + store.

    Rogers knows how many Z10's they sold, they know how many Q10's they sold. A few dozen internet "crazies" (will be their words) is not going to make a difference, based on how badly BlackBerry business is doing right now. Now if BlackBerry was fully behind the launch and had done a big launch event and was advertising the Z30 all over Canada.... you might could question why Rogers made this decision. But it is what it is... BlackBerry had committed to the device and went ahead with whatever their minimum production run was. I bet they have no real plans of this device sell more than a few 100K units.

    Why don't you go buy a z10 and a q10 and a q5 to go with your supposed z30 to support Canadian business as a canadian. Don't need that many phones sitting around? Neither does rogers.
