I searched with no luck... then couldn't post in the help forums so...

I'm wondering about the permissions that can be set for each application. Is there anything i should know about them or should I trust whatever the phone sets them to?

I'm wondering this because some apps that I download want to be "allowed" to access everything while other apps are "custom" ... so can 3rd party apps with access to all permissions mess up my phone or become venerable to undesirable effects or even "viruses"?

    Thanks for any insight.

There is no known reported virus for the BlackBerry, some applications you will have to edit the permissions to "Allow" in order for the application to function properly...

I know all my GPS apps want to "allow" access, I think because the program needs to access the GPS module of the phone and what not. My callsblocker also has access. Those are the only 2 I can think of right now.
