OS 4.5 is unreleased and may not be suitable or stable on all devices/carriers. Any time there is an issue with a new OS I always suspect 3rd party applications or themes.
the OS is ok...probably the most annoying thing other than the video streaming issue, is that recently blueapple.mobi added a high resolution link so you can view videos full screen and now it doesnt come up with this OS. oh and the video recorder is not full screen either even though i seem to remember a beta test video and it was full screen...i think.
Calendar with color... Lol. It's about time RIM.
I never said it wasn't developed. I said it would never be released.
m.youtube.com videos will work on the 8320 with 4.5.0.10.
I did a full wipe (including 3rd party apps) and don't have any additional themes installed (just the ones that came with 4.5).
Want to know something even stranger? If I leave the blackberry connected via USB to my computer, it stays on just fine. The battery meter is full. But as soon as I disconnect from the PC, it goes blank. And that's with the wifi and radio both turned on.:confused:

I would like to try the Beta 4.5 for my 8310...what do I need to do?
Hey everyone, I'm new to this. I have been reading all the post and would love to get the latest upgrade for the 8310. Could someone send me the link? I am becoming a blackberry addict!
Thanks!
I've been using OS 4.5 for a day now. I noticed that if you're on the phone while using mobile network no messages or bbm alerts will come thru, but everything works fine while using wi-fi. There is a "enhance call audio" feature where you can enhance bass or treble while on the phone. I haven't tested that one yet so I can't say if it really works. Now you can create custom playlists on the phone while on the go. Music player also has equalizer. Don't even bother hiding or moving icons on home screen because all your settings will be gone once you reset your bb. That will be all for now, I will post more cons and pros later.

I had replied all the messages, requesting for the download link, IF the message was received before 1:29am CST. If you didn't get a reply from me, please sent another request to me.
Hope everybody is enjoying the new OS. :D
I have some people helping me out giving out the links, so you might not get a reply from me.
Right now I have the links to download the beta OS for the Curve, Pearl, and 8800. It won't works if you have Sprint or Verizon, or any other "CDMA" phone.
For 8100 download link....
The password to open the file is: isma33forwarez-bb.org
(It may not work, but try it.)
to fix aim, just download the previous version from blackberry. go to blackb erry.com/instantmessaging, choose aim, and download the earlier version. the version on 4.5 is 2.0 and will not work on any phone except the sprint blackberrys
OMG! That works!! :)
Thank you!!!
Using 4.5.0.10 (platform 2.7.0.40) now for about 24 hours on my 8310 and I do not have a single problem with it. Everything works fine, fast, video recording works, love the new features and better interface. I only really really miss BBmaps, so if anyone has a solution for that... the app is installed but the icon is missing. And it does not seem to be a simple edit in lbs.alx.
I'm using the 4.3 on my curve and I've had no problems with it since I installed it.video cam is ok not the best but its good to have it as an option.browser works a lot faster now and looks nicer.I just figured out how to "hide" pics on my phone but I'm having trouble locating where I've hidden it.lol can anybody help?

I am having trouble installing the OS4.5 to my 8310. Can anyone help?
I have installed it to my computer but having trouble adding it to my curve through DTM. Do I need to delete the vendor.xml file? I'm not sure what I've done wrong here. I would appreciate any help.
I am going to help out BENNY to give out the link.
PM me your phone model only, and I will get back to you ASAP.
Note: I am not going to be responsible if you break you phone, use it at you own risk.
you do have to delete the vendor.xml file
Yes, deleteing the vendor file is a must...
You know, I upgraded 2 8310s without deleting the vendor file. Has anyone else found that it is not necessary to delete the vendor file?
I didnt either.. Not sure what the vendor file is
