For people had installed this OS (beta 4.5 for 8320) on their 8300 or 8310, please tell me if it is working fine? Any "major" problem?
A lot of people are having problem with streaming videos like YouTube, and getting error message. - I have test streaming video from YouTube by using WiFi and EDGE, and it works fine. If anyone can post the exact error message, that will be great.
Yes, BlackBerry Maps its not in this OS. (It should, but it didn't)
Also my AIM will not work either, I tried to use it and got this error message, "Service not enabled for this handheld". - Is anyone able to use AIM?
On a separate note, WiFi seems to KILL the battery! Rather annoying...
WiFi always kills the battery, back when I was using 4.2, if I turn on the WiFi my battery will gone before end of day. Its the same when I use the WiFi on this OS.
Just as you think the vidoes going to begin, there's an Error Playing bar at the upper right and a notice that reads: "An error has occurred attempting to play media." (via wifi)
I just had downloaded to OS 4.5 on my curve 8310 for AT&T, the l theme is really nice, it's a little slow, but thats because I probably just downloaded it onto my phone.
The thing that really appeals is how many changes they have made to it
YouTube doesn't work for me.. No biggie as I never watch youtube videos, not even when I had the iPhone.
I noticed as CJ did was the 'edge' and "EDGE' and even 'GPRS'
I also had two drop calls coming from the city to jersey (holland tunnel) which I have never had... handoff issues? I hope not.
When I play my mp3s using the media player, I can't turn the volume up or down. The tracks just go forward and back. My YouTube doesn't work either on both wifi and EDGE. Otherwise everything works good. I also found you can hide files and folders now by setting it in properties .

BBM sucks now. It may be little, but I dislike the location of "Close Conversation" when looking at active conversations from buddy list. It used to be the second one down, now it's second to last.
Also adding buddies, I believe it searches for contacts in your address book, but it annoying and will take time getting used to.
how did you install 4.5 on your 8310. i have the file downloaded, i deleted the vendor xml file but nothing happens.
After downloading the OS, open the package and it will install it onto your C:/ Drive. You then sync with DM, if it's not automatic, click Application loader and hit 'next' until the end! Enjoy.

im having the same problem...i had installed it once with no problem but i had to re-install after having wiped my phone memory and i cant get the prompt to come up to install the OS to the phone again...and clicking next on application loader is not working either. The OS doesnt show up along with all the apps.
i downloaded and installed it last night. it works fine, but i thought i lost my options folder lol i moved it, other then that it does what it says. the video recorder works along with every thing else
and here's a 3rd time i'm posting the major problem with no response. My 8320 keeps blanking out on me every few seconds. I've done battery pulls and reinstalled the OS twice. What version of desktop software is needed to install this? I'm using the one from t-mobiles bbupgrade website. Someone has to have an answer.
