Don't believe the hype. Any time I research something I'm about to buy, PC Mag, CNet and every other website review always have different opinions. I go with the customer reviews and then base my own judgement on facts and my preferences.
Some people might disagree about the order, but you can't deny that all of those phones are pretty much top of the line right now. The only thing I'd probably add would be the 9650, and part of me would venture to say that it has the edge of the 9700 right now.
No, I was joking about the Tour. I liked it when I first got it, but the problems really ticked me off. Getting a Bold in replacement for a faulty Tour was awesome. I do really love the Bold a ton.
and if that was the case i guess android is Uber since it got listed 5 times.
Thanks for the clarification. OP wasn't clear on that and I didn't bother visiting the actual list on my phone. Just thought I would make an observation.
Still your post proves an interesting point. The top 7 phones on that list are running 1 of 2 operating systems, and even if the builds aren't exactly the same I can't see peoples' experiences differing too greatly. Frankly it's kind of ridiculous.

Well androids do have different "over lays" to coin a phrase. some use typical Android Mapping, some use HTC Sense and some use other ones. Even tough they are all Androids different overlays and different chip-sets really do matter.
just like the iP4/iP3Gs one has 1G processor and one has 7xxM processor... and the screen is different... same phone exact OS - 2 different rankings.

Yep I hear ya. Well I've used each one of the Android UIs and while some might be more convenient than others and some might be a little quicker to the punch than others, they all have the same skeleton. I guess that's something I just can't get past. All subjective I suppose.
Given the amount of flooding Android devices are doing in the smartphone market, I can't say I'm terribly surprised at the list!
I was sorta 1/2 joking. Figured if the 9700 made it, why shouldn't the 9650?
I don't understand the difference between the 9700 and 9650. Does the 9700 have a better processor? Aren't they basically the same except the 9650 is more guaranteed to run OS 6 (and better at that)

I can't say I know the differences either, but I don't think there are any big hardware changes from one model to the other. Can someone confirm?

Yeah thats why I asked if it was a joke... they're almost exactly the same phone, except the more memory in the 9650...

9650 has double the memory of the 9700 and is one of the phone slated to run os6. I think the 9700 has a 624mhz processor and the 9650 has a 528mhz dual core processor?

haha, so technically the 9650 is a more aptly equipped phone, considering the OS changes RIM will be issuing? For a new BB user, makes me wonder about RIM's numbering conventions!
