    Try some other obvious one like 0000. In any case, if you enter the wrong password a set number of times (ten the most), it won't matter any more. The phone will wipe itself clean and you can start over.

    I've had that problem in the past and tried 1234, 4321, 0000 and I think it ended up being 0000. But you could always have the service provider help you wipe the phone or reset the password, i'm sure.

    If you're totally new to Blackberry, you need to do:
    <alt><w><alt><e><alt><r><alt><s> to get 1234.

    Else, as others have said, up to 10 times using the wrong password should wipe the device, and you can start from scratch.

    Then there are some BBs with some OS versions that will "lock" without a password. For those, be sure to read the screen - it should tell you how to "unlock" it.
