I have a 2007 335i. BMW sends the signal, Storm recognizes it and asks for the code. I type in the code and then type it into the BMW but Storm then says it can't pair with the BMW.
I have a 2008 MINI Cooper Clubman which is essentially a BMW BT system. (the cradle for my RAZR2 was a BMW part). My Storm paired right up with my system this morning. Phone book transferred very quickly.
I suggest that you start over. If your BMW or your phone is showing any pairing to each other, delete them. In my car, you must complete the entry of the four digit code in both the car and the phone WITHIN THIRTY SECONDS or the pairing will fail.
Good luck. It should work. Blackberrys have a good record with BMW/MINI systems.
I have an 05 530i and it synced fine with my BB Storm. Maybe try deleting any previous Bluetooth pairings that you might have. All I did was search for BT connections while I was in the IDrive settings, asked for the code on the phone and then the IDrive, linked fine.
I have a 2006 BMW X3, and while my Blackberry Storm finds the BMW, the passkeys I tried (0000, last 4 digits of phone number) aren't working. Any other suggestions?

I have the same problem with my 2007 mini cooper. It asks for a code, but I do not know what code they are looking for. Anyone have any suggestions.
Spellfire:
The code is your choice. Any four digits you want. Just make sure you enter the same four digits in the MINI and the Phone, and do it within thirty seconds.
Did you manage to get the voice dial work. Like I can't get the "dial name" to work it always says "phone book empty" with my blackberry storm. However the "dial number" works well.
Have the same problem with my lancer. Pairs up fine and will automatically connect when I turn the car on. I feel like everytime I do a battery pull it doesn't work anymore.
