Out of town. Charging "prong" broke. Help plz.

I've somehow broken/bent the connector inside the chrging port (mini USB)on the bb (8830WE). Thus, can't connect my power cable.and I guess I won't be able to sync w computer...I have insurance...shld I go to Verizn and get another phone?
Not eligible for new ev two so can't upgrade to Curve...I want it but not sure its better.
Ideas????

Insurance? If it's less than a year old manufacturers warranty should cover it, try a vzw store. Also if you have or get a charging cradle, it'll charge it and I believe the nicer ones have the prong that plugs into the bottom of your berry to do data.
